ChangeFilmContest.org is launching an online competition to find stories about the progress being made in achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. These short videos will be used to raise awareness, inspire action, and accelerate the worldwide movement to reduce extreme poverty by 2015.

K4Health organized the Haiti Relief Toolkit, a collection of practical and technical resources to help health workers respond more effectively to the efforts underway. With help from members of the development community, the toolkit now has more than 300 unique resources from more than100 contributing organizations.

The RAISE Initiative has released At Two Fronts: This is the story of reproductive health in emergencies. This three-minute video offers glimpses into life as it is lived in situations of conflict and natural disaster, and shows why reproductive health care must be included in basic humanitarian response.

Spread the Word on Vaccines

IAVI’s VaxLit Toolkit is a comprehensive set of educational and training materials about AIDS vaccine development and clinical trials. The user-friendly tools help explain technical and scientific concepts in simple terms and can be used to reach audiences who may have little or no previous exposure to the information. The Toolkit is primarily meant to be used by individuals in the AIDS vaccine field, HIV prevention research field, or related areas to partner with and/or reach out to audiences such as community advisory boards, civil society, policy makers, and the media.

OVC Resource

www.OVCsupport.net is a virtual forum where community organizations, NGOs, policy makers, donors, governments and academics can gather to share experiences, practices and tools that relate to policy around and programming for children and HIV. Social networking tools and an interactive platform create space for greater dialogue, debate and exchange.
